Dr. Giduck

 

Dr. Giduck has been an attorney since 1985. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Penn State and a law degree from the University of Denver. He also earned a master’s degree specializing in Russian and Soviet studies from the University of Colorado, which included completion of the Russian Culture and Language Program at St. Petersburg State University in Russia. He holds a Ph.D. in Middle East Studies from King’s College in London. 

 

 

 Dr. Giduck has authored several books: Terror at Beslan: A Russian Tragedy With Lessons for America’s Schools; Shooter Down! The Dramatic, Untold Story of the Police Response to the Virginia Tech Massacre, along with co-author Police Commissioner Joseph M. Bail; and When Terror Returns: The History and Future of Terrorist Mass-Hostage Sieges. In 2016, his book on the terrorist hostage-siege in Beslan, Russia was selected by Police 1 as one of the 15 all-time must-read books for American law enforcement and has been required reading in a number of university criminal justice programs and police academies. 

 

 

During 30 years of teaching international business and ethics courses, criminal justice and criminology at the bachelor and master degree levels, Dr. Giduck was a doctoral studies professor of Criminal Justice and Homeland Security for 10 years. He has trained police and SWAT teams, US military, and numerous federal and state government agencies for 20 years.

He was a 2007 inductee into the USA Martial Arts International Hall of Fame, and inducted into the Hall of Heroes and as Master Instructor of the Year in subsequent years.
