Dr. Giduck has authored several books. His latest, released in Dec. 2024, is 1500 Years of Fighting: The Complete Book of Russian, Ukrainian and Soviet Martial Arts from Cossacks to Spetsnaz and Beyond. His others are: Terror at Beslan: A Russian Tragedy With Lessons for America’s Schools; Shooter Down! The Dramatic, Untold Story of the Police Response to the Virginia Tech Massacre, along with co-author Police Commissioner Joseph M. Bail; and When Terror Returns: The History and Future of Terrorist Mass-Hostage Sieges. In 2016, his book on the terrorist hostage-siege in Beslan, Russia was selected by Police 1 as one of the 15 all-time books for American law enforcement and has been required reading in a number of university criminal justice programs and police academies.
